Courses during a study abroad program
Small groups
The schools that we choose for our language immersion programs usually give their lessons in small groups, from ten to fifteen students per class.
Lessons can take place in the mornings or in the afternoons and sometimes alternate, depending on the destination. The free portions of the weekdays and the week-ends are left free for the activities and outings organized by the school, or just sharing some time with the host family.
Accent on speech
Courses are interactive. The student is persistently incited to come out of his shell and to communicate vocally, to overcome his fear of speaking. While in a language immersion, even if we give great importance to grammar, the emphasis is put on speech.
Ranking
The ranking of the students is determined by an evaluation test that they will have to take on the first day of class. Their results will tell the school what level of teaching they require.
In order to have the most accurate starting dates for the courses, it could be preferable however that you could locate your fluency in the desired language within these three general levels of proficiency: beginner, intermediate or advanced.
