Study abroad in Saint-Petersburg and Moscow

Russian is one of the six official languages of the United Nations and lingua franca from old Soviet republics as well as in Eastern Europe. From the Baltic to the Pacific sea, the knowledge of the Russian language is a true asset.

Taking a study abroad program in Russia will help you with better understanding what is happening today in the country and what is being planned for the future.

Our language schools, located in two unforgettable cities, have more than 12 years of experience teaching Russian to students of all ages and originating from more than thirty countries. Russia has always had certain mystical ideas, and neither occidentalization nor universalization will come to threaten their celebrated “Russian heart”. However the country became unrecognizable since Gorbatchev undertook the reform of the Soviet Union twenty years ago.

Today, Russia is a country guided by the private initiative and the market forces. The challenges are as numerous as opportunities. To witness this change is an extraordinary and unforgettable experience.

Our Russian school in St-Petersburg is situated in the historical city centre, close to Nevsky Prospekt, between the Russian Museum, the Mikahilovsky Zamok (built by Pavel I, son of Catherine the Great), the circus and near two very nice parks. The area offers some of the finest examples of St Petersburg architecture and is close to the Fontanka and Neva rivers. The closes metro station is a five minute walk away. A wide range of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops are available just across the street.

The school is located on the second floor of a historic 19th century building. It features 13 spacious and bright classrooms, equipped with TV/DVD sets. Free Wi-Fi, a self-access centre and a small refectory are at the disposal of students. The school further operates a booking desk for excursions, theatre tickets etc.

The school in Moscow is located downtown, walking distance from the Belorusskaya train station, the main terminal where the trains coming from Berlin and Warsaw arrive. It is located on the ground floor of a building which belongs to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Russia.

The majority of the offices are used by foreign diplomats and correspondents of the international press. The closest subway (Belorusskaya) is less than 5 minutes away by foot. The school has 10 classrooms and offers the most advanced technology (several zones with wireless Internet access for the students, TV and DVD in the majority of the classes).

The tea and coffee are free. For lunch, the students will find small restaurants with moderate prices around the school.

The schools propose excursions and cultural and social activities throughout the year. Certain activities are free, like the guided tours of the city and the Friday cocktails; others have a fee. Each student will receive the activities program for the week, and will be able to choose in which to take part.
