Lodging during a study abroad program in Whistler
Homestay in Whistler, Canada
Homestay students are placed with carefully selected Canadian families that offer a secure and friendly environment.
The host family provides basic information on how to function in Canada such as: how to use the bus system to go to and from school, where to shop, and how to get to the local library, bank, recreation centre and pharmacy.
Students are provided with a private bedroom, bathroom facilities, meals and contact with English speaking Canadians every day.
As Whistler is such a popular ski resort with more hotels than homes, the number of available host families in Whistler is limited. Therefore, students will be assigned to single or double room accommodation on a first-come-first-served basis and may be advised that for the dates they have selected, their first choice (single or double) is not available. The school will attempt to match students who request double room accommodation, but it may be that in some weeks there is no match in which case the student will have to pay for a single room.
Sunday arrival and Saturday departure.
