Study abroad in Playa Tamarindo
Playa Tamarindo is located on Costa Rica’s west coast, in the province of Guanacaste. This is the ideal destination to learn Spanish in a professional environment and enjoy the beach and many outdoor activities such as surfing, snorkelling, kayaking, diving, fishing, horseback riding, mountain-biking and many more. Its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear water attract nature lovers, surfers, giant turtle watchers and sun-seekers all year round (temperatures vary between 22 and 34 degrees throughout the year).
The small multicultural town of Tamarindo has about 1,000 inhabitants and offers amenities such as art galleries, surf schools, a wide choice of restaurants and cafes. In the evening, you can listen to live concerts, go to the bar and the casino or take part in one of the typical fiestas.
Our language school is centrally located, just 150 meters from the beach, and has been operating since 1996. Spanish classes take place in big classrooms provided with large open windows looking over a gorgeous tropical garden where you could see iguanas and monkeys in their natural environment. The school consists of three buildings and two small ranchos (open-air dry palm huts). The main rancho houses two classrooms on the second floor and a cafeteria on the ground floor. The school offers free high-speed wireless internet and 15 minutes free internet access at the school’s computer.
